Zen Energy Launches 111-MW Battery Project in S Australia
- Zen Energy's Templers project, powered by Sungrow's cutting-edge technology, is set to revolutionize energy storage in South Australia. The future of sustainable power is here.

Construction has begun on Zen Energy's 111-MW/291-MWh Templers battery energy storage system project in South Australia. Sungrow, the technology provider, will supply its liquid cooling PowerTitan energy storage system for the project. The Templers project is the second largest stand-alone BESS installation in South Australia, after the Hornsdale Power Reserve.
The project, located 60 km north of Adelaide, will support power deliveries to Zen Energy's customers and provide grid-stability services to the National Energy Grid. It received a financing commitment of up to AUD 70 million from US infrastructure investor Stonepeak. The project is expected to be operational by the second quarter of 2025 after receiving grid connection approval from the Australian Energy Market Operator.
