TPREL and Sanyo Special Steel Manufacturing India Pvt. Ltd. sign 28.125 MW (AC) captive solar plant agreement to produce 61.875 Million Units (MUs) annually and reduce carbon footprint by ~42,534 tonnes. TPREL's total renewables capacity reaches 7,815 MW with this project.

Fortum, a Finnish energy company, plans to build a 90-MW solar power plant in Sweden. The project, called Alvret, will cover 95 hectares of land and is estimated to take up to three years to complete. Construction will begin once the permit process is finished.
