Greek oil company Helleniq Energy Holdings secures environmental approval for a 260-MW solar park in Western Macedonia, as part of its ambitious plan to reach 2 GW of renewables by 2030.

Helleniq Energy has acquired a 26 MW solar portfolio in Cyprus, with 43 GWh of electricity per year to be commissioned in 2024. This is a big step towards their 1 GW renewable energy goal by 2025 and 2 GW by 2030. Now owning 40MW in Cyprus and 180 MW elsewhere, Helleniq Energy is positioning itself as a major renewable energy provider.

Greek energy team Helleniq Energy (previous Hellenic Petroleum) is close to getting a 20-MW solar park in Cyprus in a bargain anticipated to be secured within the next few weeks, Insider Greece reports.
