Nordic Solar unveils 48.5-MWp solar farm in Portugal

- Danish outfit Nordic Solar A/S said that its 48.5-MWp Insua solar farm in south-east Portugal awaits operations.
Insua is the biggest plant to date in Nordic Solar's 326-MWp solid solar farm portfolio in Europe, the company stated. The 80-hectare (197.7 acres) project was established and constructed by Chint Solar, which marketed it to the Danish company ahead of building and construction.
The Insua solar farm is capable of providing 35,000 houses with power. Nordic Solar claimed that it will certainly co-operate with Spain-based working as a consultant Our New Energy as consultants in the power purchase agreement (PPA) as well as Swiss utility Axpo as its PPA companion, and loan provider Banco Sabadell SA (BME: SAB).
Nordic Solar has actually established the target to deliver 1 GWp of solar energy by 2025.
