Mytilineos places 588 MWp of solar under PPA in Chile
- Greek industrial group Mytilineos SA stated on Tuesday that it has signed a ten-year power purchase agreement (PPA) in Chile, backing it by 588 MWp of solar farms it will integrate in the South American country.

Through its renewables and storage space growth (RSD) company unit, the team committed to supplying up to 1.1 TWh of solar per year to Chilean utility Enel Generacion Chile SA.
Under the PPA, RSD will supply the contracted power from 4 solar farms-- of 109 MWp, 228 MWp, 165 MWp and 86 MWp-- situated in Chile's regions of Arica y Parinacota, Antofagasta, Atacama and Coquimbo, respectively.
Of the 4 projects, one is currently under construction. The other 3 remain in final stages of advancement, with Mytilineos hoping to break ground in 2022, the Greek business stated.
The RSD business system will certainly supervise of the procedure as well as upkeep of the portfolio.
Mytilineos obtained the four projects in brownfield phase during 2020-2021. The acquisition assisted the group take its primary steps in Chile as an investor after previously functioning as an EPC professional. The off-take contract with Enel Generacion is Mytilineos' first PPA in Chile.
