Encavis AG has expanded its grid-connected capacity in Germany to 700 MW by launching a new 114.2 MW solar plant in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. This solar facility, the largest for Encavis in Germany, consists of approximately 200,000 photovoltaic modules and spans an area equivalent to 135 football fields. It is expected to generate about 121 GWh of clean electricity each year.
The Borrentin solar plant is backed by a 10-year power purchase agreement with Allego NV, a Dutch electric vehicle charging company, ensuring a steady supply of power for its network of charging stations. Belectric will oversee both the construction and ongoing operation and maintenance of the facility alongside Stern Energy.
