Cambridge Power gets intending permission for 100MW BESS project
- Cambridge Power has safeguarded planning permission for the building of a 100MW battery energy storage system project (BESS).

The project will certainly be situated in Bramford, Suffolk as well as contributes to the firm's expanding portfolio. It follows one more project safeguarded earlier this year in Glasgow for a 29MW battery energy storage space project.
Giles Hanglin, Chief Executive Officer of Cambridge Power, said: "We are delighted to safeguard planning permission for the BESS site in Bramford. Its location adjacent to the Bramford substation better contributes to its credentials as an outstanding storage site to assist with delivering the offshore wind and also interconnectors on the east coastline of Suffolk."
Previously this year Cambridge Power signed a Framework Agreement with Brookfield Renewable to create a brand-new portfolio of solar and battery storage space.
Under the agreement, both firms will certainly establish 800MW of BESS as well as 185MW of co-located solar PV over the next five years.
