Beijing Jingneng building 1 GW of wind, solar with storage space as well as some hydrogen production

Beijing Jingneng Clean Energy Co Ltd (HKG:0579) on Tuesday introduced that it recently started building of 1 GW of wind as well as solar projects in Inner Mongolia with some energy storage capability.

One of both projects, the 500-MW Abag Banner Project, will also produce hydrogen.

The total financial investment will certainly be roughly CNY 7 billion (USD 1.1 bn/EUR 971m), the Chinese energy company claimed. All approvals remain in place, with completion of both complicateds anticipated by the end of 2023.
