Battery storage with new "soft switching" technology from Growatt
- China's Growatt New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. is increasing its battery storage product line to consist of the APX-HV series with "soft switching" parallel link technology.
This is claimed to make up for energy distinctions between private battery packs by allowing each module to be completely charged as well as released separately. It likewise "offers greater flexibility for setup and also expansion with batteries of different State of Charge (SoC) as well as from various new batches."
The APX-HV storage units feature an energetic battery monitoring system for every cell, a fire protection system integrated into each module, an arc-fault circuit interrupter (AFCI), and also a replaceable fuse for the entire system. Automatic discovery makes certain that when new batterie packs are included, the software for the entire system is updated to the current variation.
The system is scalable from five to 30 kilowatt-hours as well as can be increased to 60 kilowatt-hours in two clusters. It is compatible with Growatt household and also commercial inverters.
