The American Council on Renewable Energy (ACORE) has hit out at the United States Department of Commerce's decision to explore circumvention tariffs on Chinese solar panel imports from Cambodia, Malaysia, Thailand and also Vietnam.

ACORE head of state and ceo Gregory Wetstone claimed: "Today's choice by the Department of Commerce will certainly overthrow the renewable energy industry at the most awful possible time.

" Congress has yet to enact a long-lasting, full-value tidy energy tax bundle, and also the firm's trade investigation develops uncertainty that will certainly chill new financial investment and also cause layoffs in the country's solar energy industry."

" At a time when the renewable energy market is functioning extremely difficult to speed up release to meet the Biden Administration's climate goals and avoid the worst effects of climate change, we need the federal government working in partnership with an all-hands-on-deck initiative."

Wetstone claimed that the examination would only act to unnecessarily slow economic growth, raise United States energy costs as well as enforce greater threats on the climate.

He added that ACORE is now prompting the Department of Commerce to finish the examination and deny the growth people solar tariffs.
