MERC has approved the tariff discovered by the MSEDCL for the procurement of 500 MW power from solar projects for meeting its Solar RPO.

Asset management firm Capital Dynamics and IPP 8minute Solar Energy announced on Thursday the purchase of a 300MWac/873MWdc solar project in Nevada.

Mahindra Renewables Private Limited (MRPL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Mahindra Group (worth $20.7 billion) cleantech arm Mahindra Susten Private Ltd (MSPL) is planning to invest around $171 million to set up a 250 mega watt (MW) solar power project in Rajasthan. The project will be backed by International Finance Corporation (IFC).

Masdar on Thursday announced that it has signed an agreement with Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Energy to develop and finance a 200-megawatt utility scale solar photovoltaic (PV) project.
