Trina Solar Invests $400M in Vietnam Plant
Trina Solar, one of China's leading solar panel makers, plans to invest $400 million in its third factory in Vietnam and could potentially invest up to $600 million in the future. This move follows US investigation into Chinese solar companies' use of Thailand and other Southeast Asian countries for tariff avoidance. Vietnam is now the biggest supplier of solar panels to the US, making up a third of all imports in Q1 of this year.
