What are Renewable Energy Credits (RECs)?

A form of tradable intangible goods representing the green attributes associated with electricity produced from renewable sources. One Renewable Energy Credit is generated when 1MWh of green electricity is produced. SREC stands for Solar Renewable Energy Credits associated with solar electricity.
