What is Photovoltaic (PV) module?

Also referred to as a solar panel. The smallest unit of interconnected photovoltaic cells and ancillary components converting solar energy into DC power. The cells can be connected either in parallel or in series and are encapsulated to be protected against environmental impact. Can be rigid (framed) or flexible (frameless).
