Sonnedix, Statkraft ink PPA for 50-MW solar farm in Spain

- Global independent power producer (IPP) Sonnedix Power Holdings Ltd has actually signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with Norwegian state-owned utility Statkraft regarding supply electricity from its 50-MW solar farm in Spain.

Revealing the PPA today, Sonnedix stated today it has already started supplying the contracted power under the 9.5-year agreement.
The electricity is created by the Sonnedix Galisteo solar PV farm located in Caceres district, approximately Extremadura.
"This is our second PPA authorized with Statkraft in the past number of years, and we look forward to proceeding associating with them in the near future", stated Sonnedix chief executive officer Axel Thiemann.
Galisteo is just one of 2 solar farms that Sonnedix got ACS Servicios, Comunicaciones y Energia at the end of 2021.
Sonnedix highlights that it has over 1.6 GW of utility-scale solar PV projects in operation, unfinished or in development in Spain.
