Thermophotovoltaic cell (TPV)
What is Thermophotovoltaic cell (TPV)?
A type of device, in which the sunlight is focused onto an absorber to heat it to high temperatures. The absorber emits thermal radiation, which is utilized as the source of energy for a PV cell. This way, the conversion efficiency is maximized at the wavelength of thermal radiation.
