Lumin has announced that its Smart Panel is now integrated with the Tesla Powerwall family of home batteries, including Powerwall+, Powerwall 2, and Powerwall 3. This integration allows for intelligent energy optimization based on the battery's state of charge, resulting in extended backup runtime. The Lumin app and operating system must be up to date for this integration to work, with automatic updates planned for the future.
In addition to Tesla Powerwall, Lumin's products are compatible with other batteries, inverters, and load centers, covering approximately 70% of the solar + storage market. The Smart Panel can now read state of charge for Tesla Powerwall, Enphase IQ, and SolarEdge Home batteries, providing homeowners with more options for energy management and optimization.
