Vattenfall's 4GW Solar Acquisition in Germany

Swedish energy company Vattenfall has acquired German solar developer Solizer, bringing its German solar development portfolio to a total of 7GW. Through the transaction, Vattenfall has gained access to Solizer's 4GW project pipeline and it's experienced team. The first projects in the new portfolio are expected to be ready for construction as early as 2024. Vattenfall Senior Vice President Helene Biström said the acquisition would help the company meet the growing demand for cost-competitive solar power from customers. This move is part of Vattenfall’s plan for further investment in renewable energy sources and comes as part of its growth path.
