United States sustainable grid remedies supplier Energy Vault Holdings has won an order from Jupiter Power to produce 2 battery storage projects in Texas and California completing 220MWh.

Under the agreement, Energy Vault will supply devices, engineering, purchase, building and construction, balance of plant solutions and also the energy management software for 2 of Jupiter's battery energy storage space projects.

The projects include a 100MW battery energy storage system near Fort Stockton, Texas, which will offer energy and also secondary solutions to ERCOT.

A 10MW system in Carpinteria, California will certainly supply grid solutions through participation in the CAISO Resource Adequacy programme along with energy resiliency in Southern California.

The projects will give critically needed dispatchable capacity to these electrical power markets and are anticipated to be finished in 2023, Energy Vault claimed.

The systems will make use of Energy Vault Solutions' (EVS) exclusive assimilation platform and powered by EVS' ingenious energy management software platform, which started growth nine months back in November 2021.

Energy Vault primary commercial officer Marco Terruzzin claimed: "With today's inaugural EVS-enabled battery energy storage projects statement supporting a market leader in storage space framework and also analytics like Jupiter, we are supplying on our comprehensive energy storage solutions approach introduced just 9 months back.

" We are seeing solid need for our EVS-enabled energy storage space solutions on an international basis due to the special ability of our platform to incorporate and supply both short and long period of time (EVx) energy storage space technologies."

Jupiter Power chief innovation officer Michael Geier claimed: "Jupiter is pleased to be dealing with Energy Vault to expand our existing battery energy storage portfolio with these two brand-new projects.

" As the largest designer and also operator of battery energy storage space projects on the ERCOT grid, we see a solid requirement to continue to carry out cutting-edge storage space services to aid ease grid strain.

" We are also excited to be developing our initial project in California, where grid problems continue to show a solid need for added battery energy storage capacity."

Jupiter currently has 654MWh of battery energy storage space projects in operations or commissioning in Texas and also more than 11 GW of added projects in advancement in a number of target markets from California to Maine.
