Trina Solar Powers 140MW Albanian PV Project

Trina Solar has partnered with Voltalia to provide 140MW of Vertex dual-glass bifacial modules for the Karavasta Solar project in Albania. This project, one of the largest of its kind in the Western Balkans, is expected to go live by end of 2023. It is funded by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (ERBD) and will generate electricity for the Albanian public operator and private operators. During construction and operation, 200 people and 10-15 direct and 20-50 indirect employees will be employed from the local community. Moreover, 1% of the company's total investment will go towards social initiatives in the area. Constantin von Alvensleben, Country Manager of Voltalia Albania, commented on the partnership between Trina Solar and Voltalia to bring the project to life.
