As of today, Schletter Group has a fifty-person staff making mountings for solar modules in Kirchdorf. However, in the nearest future the manufacturer is going to transfer the local activity from there to its production facility in Shanghai. Over nine-tenths of its manufacture is currently conducted at the Chinese site. In case of necessity, the company can rely on its foreign partners, as they will keep cooperating.

When the factory in Kirchdorf shuts down, some employees will lose their jobs. Though Schletter intends to offer more jobs in strategy, administration and development, it cannot make up for job losses in manufacturing.

In spite of production shutdown in Germany, the manufacturer’s business is developing. Lately, the company has received three orders for large solar projects in Honduras, Brazil, and Nepal. The Schletter manufactures mounting systems for the above plants in Shanghai. Moreover, the company is planning other big projects. The manufacturer foresees the growing demand for large-scale ventures simultaneously with increasing price pressure.

Apart from a cost-efficient approach to delivery, the manufacturer is developing innovative systems like its novel mountings for outdoor and rooftop solar panels, saving both material and mounting time.
