PAD RES Secures €54m for Poland Solar

PAD RES has secured €54 million from the Polish Development Fund (PFR) to construct two solar farms in the Pomeranian Voivodeship in northern Poland. The combined capacity of both projects will be 117 MW and they are expected to cover an area of 140 hectares. Electrum has been chosen as the general contractor and PAD RES's Chief Financial Officer, Michal Pryca, has expressed confidence that the partnership with PFR will strengthen their market position. The PFR prioritizes investments in sustainable development and is committed to supporting Poland's energy transition. Bartlomiej Pawlak, Vice-President of the PFR Board, believes that every investment in green energy is a step towards improving the country's energy security.

How Will PAD RES's €54M PFR Investment Strengthen Poland's Energy Security?

  • PAD RES's investment will contribute to the country's transition towards renewable energy sources.
  • The two solar farms will have a combined capacity of 117 MW, enough to power nearly 35,000 households.
  • This will bring clean energy to a large population, reducing emissions from burning fossil fuels.
  • The investment will help Poland reach its goal of producing 12% of its electricity from renewable sources by 2030.
  • PAD RES's partnership with PFR is a positive step in the right direction to reduce Poland's dependence on imported coal and natural gas.
  • The investment will also create jobs in the region, providing employment opportunities in the renewable energy sector.
