NTPC Limited has actually released a tender, inviting bids from eligible specialists for establishing roof solar power plants worth 650 kW at the plant buildings and the Urja Bhavan (administrative structure) at NTPC Sipat in Chattisgarh.

The scope of the work for the selected bidders will consist of the style, engineering, getting of the No Objection Certificate (NOC) from Discoms for grid-connectivity (if required), manufacture, supply, building and construction, erection, associated civil works including repairing on rooftops, screening and commissioning works, PG test for the solar roof system at NTPC Sipat. The commissioning of the project indicates connecting and synchronising the complete 650 kWp system to the 415V LT grid.

The selected bidders will have a duration of 180 days or 6 months to complete the deal with the task after which they will be needed to supply comprehensive operation and maintenance services for the rooftop system for a period of 3 years.

The last date of bid submission is February 26, 2019, and the techno-commercial bids will be opened on February 28, 2019. All bidders must likewise send a Down payment Deposit of Rs 5 lakh together with their quotes.

To be eligible for participating in the bidding process, the bidder should have created, provided, erected/ supervised erection and commissioned/supervised commissioning of solar PV based grid-connected power plant of a minimum of one plant of 100 kWp or above and cumulative capability of 500 kWp or above. And the referral plant of 100 kWp or above capacity must have been in effective operation for at least six months as on the date of techno-commercial quote opening.

Economically, the bidders must have an average annual turnover, in the preceding 3 financial years as on the date of techno-commercial quote opening, not be less than Rs 2.81 crore.

In January, the PSU had released a tender for the supply and erection of an 870 kW roof solar PV power plant at the firm’& rsquo; s TG Hall at NTPC Vindhyachal St-II.

Prior to that, the firm had provided a tender for the setup of roof solar tasks at two of its areas worth a combined generational capacity of 550 kW. The very first task, a 500 kW rooftop system will be installed at the TSTPS in Kaniha and the 2nd, a 50 kW system will be installed in TTPS in Talcher.
