MET Powers Up 50MW Spanish Solar Park

MET Group’s first solar park in Spain, Puerto Real 3, has reached commercial operations. The 50MW facility covers 130 hectares and consists of over 88,000 solar panels. It is located in the Andalusia region where high solar irradiation levels are present. MET Group acquired the project in 2022 and has since been present in Spain for more than seven years. Its Green Assets Division focuses on solar and wind power in Europe and is now composed of around 400MW in operation.

What Has MET Group Accomplished in Spain's Solar Industry?

• MET Group has developed a total of seven solar parks throughout Spain, with a combined installed capacity of around 450MW.
• Puerto Real 3 is the largest of these seven parks and produces around 150GWh of energy annually, enough to power more than 30,000 households.
• MET Group has also established a network of solar service centers across Spain in order to provide technical maintenance and repair services for solar systems.
• MET Group is currently working on four additional solar parks in Spain with an estimated capacity of over 350MW.
