Dominican Republic greenlights 148 MW of new solar

- The Dominican Republic's national energy commission CNE stated on Wednesday it had actually authorized conclusive giving ins with three entities, allowing them to build 148 MW of solar farms in the country.

The recipients are the following companies: LCV Ecoener Solares Dominicana, Cotoperi Solar FV as well as Renewable Energy World Dominicus (R.E.W.D.).
LCV Ecoener, of Spain's Grupo Ecoener SAU (BME: ENER), will certainly construct the 50-MW Payita 1 solar farm in Maria Trinidad Sanchez province.
R.E.W.D. will also build a 50-MW plant, called Parque Solar R.E.W.D., siting it in La Romana province.
The concessionaire Cotoperi Solar FV, not long ago associated with Spain's Acciona Energia (BME: ANE) as the majority proprietor, will certainly be in charge of the 48.06-MW Cotoperi I solar project in La Romana province.
