Toshiba-Led JV Powers Up Solar Fishery Park

A joint venture between Photon Energy, Toshiba Energy Systems & Solutions Corporation, JA Mitsui Leasing and Fuyo General Lease has announced a collaboration with Taiwan’s Ark Solar Energy to build a 120-MW solar park at a fishery in Tainan, Taiwan. Called the Solar Fishery Symbiosis project, the park will have a photovoltaic complex supplying electricity to an unnamed semiconductor manufacturer under a corporate power purchase agreement. Construction works have already begun, with commercial operations scheduled to start at the end of 2021. The partners plan to expand the capacity further, adding another 360-MW park at the same site to bring the total installed capacity to 480 MW.
