Sonnedix Secures 11-Year Solar PPA in Spain

  • Sonnedix, a leading independent solar producer, has signed a renewable energy power purchase agreement (PPA) with one of Europe's main energy groups. The 11-year PPA will provide green electricity from a 50MW solar PV plant located in the province of Albacete, Castilla-La-Mancha, Spain.

Sonnedix has signed an eleven-year renewable energy power purchase agreement (PPA) with one of the main energy groups in Europe. The PPA will provide green electricity from a 50MW solar PV plant located in the province of Albacete, Castilla-La-Mancha, Spain. The PPA commenced at the beginning of 2023 and will have a total duration of 11 years. Sonnedix had acquired the solar PV plant at the end of 2021.

This agreement is a major step forward for Sonnedix, as it solidifies the company's position as a leading independent solar producer. The PPA will provide green electricity to one of the main energy groups in Europe, furthering the goal of a more sustainable energy future. Additionally, the agreement enables Sonnedix to expand its renewable platform not just in Spain, but also in Portugal, where it acquired a 262MW solar PV portfolio in 2021.
