Savion signs PPA for 100-MW solar project in Indiana

Under the agreement, Indiana Michigan Power, part of utility team American Electric Power Company Inc (NASDAQ: AEP), is readied to acquire the overall output from the solar farm, Savion claimed in a declaration today.

The Elkhart County Solar Project is sited in Benton Township. The plan for now is to have the solar farm occupy around 850 acres (344 ha), with generation capacity predicted to be 100 MWac, according to the news.

In September 2022, Elkhart County Commissioners accepted a rezoning application and also the Economic Development Agreement for Savion's solar farm proposal. The project is currently advancing with the site diligence phase.
