Opdenergy transfers 87 MW of Spanish solar projects to Bruc Energy

  • Spanish independent power producer (IPP) Opdenergy Holding SA (BME: OPDE) revealed on Thursday it has moved two solar power projects based in central Spain with a combined capacity of 87 MW to compatriot Bruc Energy.

This step becomes part of an agreement checked in August 2021, under which the IPP is offering some 1,101 MW of solar projects spread across Spain to Bruc Energy.

With the new purchase, Opdenergy has turned over 278 MW to Bruc Energy, adhering to the transfer of 81 MW previously this month.

The company kept in mind that the transfer of the two projects situated in Soria province took place after a favourable ecological permit was granted.

Opdenergy claimed it has likewise acquired the environmental permits for an extra 94 MW as well as is preparing to hand over the asset to Bruc Energy in the coming months, getting to 372 MW of moved projects.

The company plans to complete the transfer of solar projects throughout 2023.
