NY's Largest Rooftop Solar: Open to Subscribers

Medline Industries recently completed the largest rooftop solar project in New York on its 1.3 million-ft2 Montgomery distribution center. The 7.2-MW community solar project was funded by $5 million in private investment from PowerFlex and $3 million in support from NYSERDA. The project is estimated to provide up to 10% monthly savings for approximately 600 residents who subscribe to the system. In exchange for a commitment to create 266 new jobs, Empire State Development awarded Medline up to $10 million in Excelsior Jobs Tax Credits. PowerFlex CEO Raphael Declercq commented on the project, praising Medline’s commitment to sustainability. This project follows another 6.7-MW solar project built atop Medline’s Massachusetts distribution center, also developed by PowerFlex.
