Energa Seals 334 MW Hybrid Solar-Wind Project Deal

  • Energa Wytwarzanie, a unit of Polish oil refiner PKN Orlen, has signed a preliminary agreement to purchase the Kleczew hybrid wind and solar project, capable of powering 200,000 homes. Construction of the 334 MW project has already begun - to be completed by 2025!

Polish oil refiner PKN Orlen’s unit, Energa Wytwarzanie, has signed a preliminary agreement to purchase the owner of a hybrid wind and solar project with a proposed capacity of up to 334 MW. Construction of the Kleczew project, located in the Greater Poland Voivodeship, has already begun and will include 315 MW of photovoltaic and 19 MW of wind turbine capacity. When completed in 2025, it will generate enough clean energy to power 200,000 homes. The transaction, once finalized in the first quarter of 2025, will add to Energa’s renewable energy portfolio, bringing its total capacity to nearly 1 GW.
