Canadian Solar offers 100-MWp solar plant in Japan

- Canadian Solar Inc (NASDAQ: CSIQ) revealed on Wednesday it has settled the sale of the 100-MWp Azuma Kofuji solar park in Japan's northeastern prefecture of Fukushima to regional investors arranged by Mizuho Securities Co Ltd

In commercial procedure since the third quarter of 2022, Azuma Kofuji produces around 110 GWh of clean energy per year, enough to fulfill the demand of approximately 31,000 families.
The solar park markets its result to regional energy Tohoku Electric Power Co at JPY 36 (USD 0.26/ EUR 0.24) per kWh under Japan's feed-in-tariff (FiT) programme.
Canadian Solar claimed the lasting operations and also upkeep (O&M) services will certainly still be performed by the neighborhood subsidiary of Recurrent Energy.
The profits from the purchase need to be recognised in the 2nd quarter of 2023, the vendor noted.
