Bonduelle Buys Solar Power in France

Agri-food giant Bonduelle has signed a corporate power purchase agreement (PPA) with green power producer Arkolia Energies, for electricity from a 10-MW solar park in the southwestern Gironde department. This contract will provide Bonduelle with 13 GWh of green power annually over a 20-year period at a fixed price. The agreement is backed by Bpifrance’s new guarantee scheme for renewable PPAs, which is designed to support 500 MW of onshore wind and solar projects in mainland France. In addition, Bonduelle’s use of the renewable energy will help them to meet their goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 20% and doubling the share of renewable power used by 2035.

• The 10 MW solar park in the southwestern Gironde department is Arkolia Energies’ first solar project in France.
• The energy produced from the solar park will be enough to supply electricity to 192 households annually.
