Voltalia, a renewable energy player, has successfully commissioned an impressive 50.6 MW solar cluster in Portugal. Construction began in September 2021, with power generation commencing at three sites in March 2023. This cluster will reduce 46,685 tonnes of CO2 emissions annually, and is facilitated by long-term corporate Power Purchase Agreements. This is an achievement for Voltalia and its CEO, Sébastien Clerc, who are looking to expand their presence in renewable energy.

The company is no stranger to the solar power sector, having recently signed a 15-year agreement with French automobile manufacturer Renault to supply solar power. They have also entered into a financing agreement with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) for the Dwanga Renewable Energy project in Malawi. This is a clear mark of Voltalia’s commitment to transitioning towards a greener world.
