French energy group TotalEnergies SE has completed the construction of a 70-MWp solar photovoltaic park in the Peloponnese region of Greece, increasing its total wind and solar power capacity in the country to over 400 MW. The Xirokambi PV park, built at a cost of EUR 52 million, is expected to produce 120 GWh of electricity annually, meeting the demand of 30,000 local homes.

TotalEnergies has been active in Greece since 2012 and currently has more than 1 GW of renewable energy projects in its development pipeline in the country. The company's technical team will oversee the operations and maintenance of the new solar park, which is made up of 123,900 panels mounted on fixed structures covering 75 hectares of land.
