Total and 174 Power Global to collectively establish 1.6 GW of PV and power storage space projects in the United States
- French energy company Total SA and solar and power storage space project designer 174 Power Global Corp, a wholly possessed Hanwha Group affiliate, have actually signed an arrangement to develop a 50/50 joint endeavor.
Goal is to create 12 utility-scale solar and power storage projects of 1.6 GW collective capacity in the United States, transferred from 174 Power Global's advancement pipeline. The initial project started manufacturing in 2020, and the rest will be placed on stream between 2022 and 2024. The centers are located in Texas, Nevada, Oregon, Wyoming and Virginia.
"This deal is a first significant action for Total in the US energy range solar market, in accordance with our 2025 ambition to accomplish 35 GW of renewables production capacity worldwide," said Julien Pouget, Director Renewables of Total. As part of its aspiration to reach web absolutely no by 2050, Total is developing a portfolio of tasks in renewables and electrical energy that might make up as much as 40 percent of its sales by 2050.
