Orsted and Terra Solar join forces to develop 400 MW of solar projects in Ireland, providing green energy for 90,000 homes and bringing Orsted's total Irish solar pipeline to 600 MW. Completion of the projects is projected before 2030. Part of Ireland's Climate Action Plan.

Denmark's Largest Energy Firm Ørsted Acquires Ballinrea Solar Farm- Its First in Ireland

The project will provide the electrical power needs of 16,000 Irish families. Its building and construction is expected to begin in 2024 and also will be operationalised by 2025. The Ballinrea Solar Farm will make a meaningful payment to Ireland's national power target of 80% renewables by 2030 in addition to the Government's new 5.5 GW solar target.
