China can set up PV systems up to 75 GW up until completion of 2021
China's National Energy Administration (NEA) released further data worrying last year's total solar PV market growth, says the consultancy Asia Europe Clean Energy (Solar) Advisory Co. Ltd. (AECEA). As necessary, the 48.2 GW deployed throughout 2020 are comprised by 32.7 GW of utility-scale systems, 10.1 GW of residential PV and 5.4 GW of commercial & industrial (C&I) PV systems.

AECEA expects greater than 40 GW of new PV capability to be constructed in 2020 in China

PRC to install 35-38GW of PV capacity in 2020
According to the data published by Chinese NEA, the People’s Republic installed 12 gigawatts of photovoltaic projects in December. However, the country also developed almost 41 gigawatts of carbon-emitting coal power generation capacity during 2019.

China installed 920 MW of household solar last month
Hopes are high up to 5 GW of residential solar capacity will have been added by the time this month’s figures are added, as the household solar feed-in tariff still applies – but only until Thursday. China’s solar installations slump to 4.6GW in Q3
According to official figures released by China’s National Energy Administration, new solar capacity installations in the third quarter of 2019 slumped to only 4.6GW under new support mechanisms that were implemented mid-year.

State news service: China has already connected 870 MW of this year’s subsidized PV projects
The state-owned China News Service today reported almost $80 million is left in the pot for large scale project subsidies this year despite almost 420 facilities with a combined generation capacity of 1.77 GW having missed out in the auction.
