Taaleri acquires 50-MWp shovel-ready solar project in Spain

  • Finnish wealth manager Taaleri Plc (HEL: TAALA) claimed today that its Taaleri SolarWind II fund purchased 100% ownership of the 50-MWp Niebla solar project situated in Spain's southern area of Andalusia.

The Niebla project remained in the ready-to-build phase when it was acquired. It was established by Spanish PV expert Valfortec in co-operation with Taaleri Energia, the Finnish company stated.

Spanish bank Banco de Sabadell SA (BME: SAB) is readied to supply the project financing, while Centrica Energy Trading will manage most of Niebla's result under a long term economic power purchase agreement (PPA), Taaleri included.

The Niebla solar farm will be built in the town of San Juan del Puerto. Construction works are slated to begin in December, while full operations can be anticipated in the 3rd quarter of 2022.

When online, the plant is anticipated to create roughly 107 GWh per year.
