Sri Lanka's CEB issues tender for 100-MW solar project
- The Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) is looking for contractors for the development as well as building of a 100-MW solar park project in Sri Lanka's Uva province.
With a tender launched recently, the regulatory authority aims to pick a designer to mount the capacity on a build-own-operate (BOO) basis, with the scope of work including style, financing, supply, building, testing, commissioning, operation and also maintenance. Along with the solar (PV) park the tender covers the building and construction of a 132-kV transmission line.

Under its 2019-2025 renewable energy growth programme, Sri Lanka intends to add 1.5 GW of solar PV capacity by end-2025, of which 1 GW will certainly come from large-scale projects.
