Sonnedix, Cox Launch 160-MW Chile Solar Plant

  • Sonnedix and Cox Energy have launched operations for their 160-MW Meseta de los Andes Solar Plant in Chile. Construction began in June 2021 and was completed in Spring 2023, with USD 120 million in financing provided by Sumitomo Mitsui Bank Corporation. Sonnedix has a strong presence in Chile, with 1.6 GW of renewable projects in development and 700 MW of capacity in operation.
Sonnedix, Cox Launch 160-MW Chile Solar Plant

Sonnedix and Cox Energy have launched operations at the 160-MWp Meseta de los Andes solar plant in Chile. Construction work was initiated in June 2021 and was finalized in Spring 2023. The two companies secured USD 120 million in financing from Sumitomo Mitsui Bank Corporation to build the project. Sonnedix has a commitment to the Chilean market and currently has almost 1.6 GW of total renewable development pipeline in the country, and almost 700 MW of capacity in operation.
