Soltec Sells 850 MW Solar to CIP for Denmark Power-to-X

Soltec has sold 850 MW of early-stage solar projects in Denmark to Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners P/S (CIP). CIP, through its Energy Transition Fund I (ETF I), bought a 100% stake in the bundle in order to develop, build and operate the solar farms for its power-to-X projects. The project sites are located in various parts of Denmark with most of them concentrated in the Jutland region. Both Soltec and CIP are looking forward to the deal and hope to take part in the green transition and Power-to-X industry.

How Will Soltec and CIP Support Denmark's Green Transition?

  • Soltec will provide technical and development services for the 850 MW of solar projects, helping to contribute to the green transition.
  • CIP will be responsible for developing, building and operating the solar farms, ensuring that they are up and running to their maximum efficiency to meet the demand for green energy.
  • The projects will be located in various parts of Denmark, allowing for a more even distribution of green energy and helping to reduce the reliance on fossil fuels.
  • The Power-to-X technology will allow for the creation of energy from renewable sources and storage, providing a more reliable and cost-effective green energy option.
  • By investing in the solar projects, Soltec and CIP are helping to kick-start Denmark's green transition and move towards a more sustainable and green future.
