Shanghai Electric Launches 128MW UK Solar-Plus-Storage

  • Shanghai Electric has completed two renewable energy projects in the UK: REP1&2 BESS and Fiskerton II-A solar site. Generating 128,117 MWh of green energy annually, these projects will provide a significant contribution toward a sustainable future.

Shanghai Electric has completed the REP1&2 battery energy storage system (BESS) and Fiskerton II-A solar site in the UK. REP1&2 is located in Kent and owned by Italian insurer Generali. It is equipped with lithium iron phosphate batteries produced by Gotion New Energy and operates under Shell Energy Europe. Fiskerton is the last of eight solar projects by Shanghai Electric in Lincolnshire with a total of 128,117 MWh of green electricity generated annually. Shanghai Electric was responsible for investment, financing, construction, grid connection and operation.
