Both plants were inaugurated previously this month at official ceremonies attended by government officials as well as representatives of the business.

The larger one of the two parks, promoted as one of the greatest industrial nuclear power plant in Africa, was set up in behalf of French wires manufacturer Nexans SA (EPA: NEX). Found atop the group's manufacturing base in the city of Mohammedia near Casablanca, the 2.5-MWp plant consists of 4,640 panels covering some 12,166 square metres of roof areas. The output of the center is expected to offset 2,850 tonnes of co2 (CO2) emissions every year.

On the other hand in Nouaceur province, around Casablanca-Settat, Qair has put on stream a 1.7-MW solar plant for French aerospace components producer Safran SA (EPA: SAF). The future generation is expected to assist the French group cover greater than 20% of its yearly power usage in Morocco.

In 2015, Qair's subsidiary in Morocco brought online a ground-based solar plant to provide the neighborhood business of Swiss food as well as drinks gigantic Nestle SA (VTX: NESN).
