Orange Polska Secures 10-Year Solar PPA

R.Power S.A., a Polish renewables developer and independent power producer, has signed a 10-year corporate power purchase agreement with Orange Polska S.A. for over 600 GWh of electricity from new solar parks. The power will be sourced between 2024 and 2034. R.Power currently operates 1.5 GW of assets in Poland and across Europe, and has grid-access for over 18 GW of additional projects in the pipeline.
The agreement will facilitate Orange Polska's ambition to reduce direct and indirect CO2 emissions by 65% by 2025, source 65% of its energy from renewables by 2025, and reach net climate neutrality by 2040 at the latest. Przemek Pieta, CEO of R.Power, commented that the agreement “will allow us to accelerate the implementation of our strategy to build our own generation sources in Poland and other European markets.”
