Meriaura to Build EUR-9m Solar Plant in Germany

Meriaura Oy has won a EUR-9-million contract to build a solar thermal plant in Germany for district heating company Bauer Holzenergie GmbH u. Co.KG. The solar thermal collector is set to span nearly 29,000 gross square metres and is based in the municipality of Bad Rappenau, Baden-Wuerttemberg. The system delivery is scheduled to begin this year and commissioning is expected in 2024. Meriaura Group's CEO Kirsi Suopelto noted that the company aims to be a major player in decarbonising the heating sector in Europe.
