Iraq introduces 630 MW of solar projects in Al-Muthanna province

Among the solar farms will have a capacity of 130 MW and also will be constructed in the Al-Khidhir area, assistant governor Hamid Al-Hassani informed the official Iraqi newspaper Al-Sabaah.

The local government has actually provided the land for the plant as well as the project has been assigned to the business that will apply it.

A 2nd project for a 500-MW solar farm has been awarded to Chinese business as well as they are currently dealing with it, Al-Hassani said. The center will certainly be built on a location of 8,000 dunams (2,000 hectares) near the Samawa combined-cycle nuclear power plant.
