Ilmatar eyes up 550MW Swedish solar project
- The company is working together with consultancy Vinnergi to bring the scheme to building
Ilmatar Energy is "well underway" with plans to construct a 550MW solar park in Sweden in what will turn into one of Europe's biggest PV projects.
The proposals for the site located in the district of Motala in Östergötland are currently relocating via the permitting procedure.
Subsidiary Ilmatar Solar is functioning along with working as a consultant Vinnergi to progress the project towards building and construction.
Vinnergi business growth manager Martin Ansell-Schultz stated: "We have currently obtained a favourable preliminary estimate from Svenska kraftnät, Sweden's TSO, and also the license procedure and electricity network issues remain in full swing.
" Ilmatar is an intriguing companion who, in the long term, will be in charge of the park's whole life process-- from building to electricity sales for several years to find.
" They already have experience in the wind power field, therefore they can buy massive manufacturing of electrical power straight."
Ilmatar Solar president Christian Gustafsson included: "Along with Vinnergi, we will come to be a stronger star on the power market.
" Lasting development is the common measure throughout the whole procedure-- from arrangement to preparation and also to the building of the solar parks. As a sustainable, long-lasting companion, Vinnergi is best for us."
Last month, Ilmatar revealed plans to construct a 450MW solar park in Tönnersjö, Sweden.
