Heliogen starts configuration at 1st full-scale production facility in California

  • United States artificial intelligence (AI)- enabled concentrated solar specialist Heliogen Inc (NYSE: HLGN) on Tuesday said it has started site prep work and also configuration at its initial full-scale manufacturing facility, with production lines set up to go into operation in the 3rd quarter of 2022.

The factory is located in the Douglas Park Campus beside Long Beach Airport in Long Beach, California. It will consist of production line, a test facility and also rapid advancement centre for the manufacturing of heliostats as well as various other components in the company's systems.

President Bill Gross claimed the facility is thought to be "the globe's first and also just purpose-built facility for high-volume heliostat production."
