Ford Motor Company has authorized a power acquisition agreement to offtake 650MW of solar capacity in Michigan from utility DTE Energy.

The deal, which Ford claims is the largest renewable energy purchase from a utility in US history, will certainly see DTE add 650MW of new PV capacity in the state to provide the automobile producer by 2025.
